Is your diet causing your body to develop intolerances? | Test Your Intolerance Canada

Uh Oh! This is not the news you probably want to hear, but it turns out that your body can develop intolerances because of your diet. That’s right, what you are eating may be causing you to feel worse. If you are overindulging or are being exposed to something on a regular basis, then you may develop an intolerance to a certain item.

Do you have eggs on toast EVERY morning? Are you drinking too much milk? These factors might explain why you are experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, bloating or nausea. Don’t worry though, if you take an intolerance test with us, you will be able to identify which foods you may have consumed a bit too many of, and so you will know how to manage them. Using an elimination diet, you may find yourself feeling happier and healthier.

1) Has your diet caused an intolerance?

Have you started a new job or moved house and have not found the time to cook healthy, homemade meals? Have you been snacking on processed foods, junk food and ready meals? Has the takeaway just around the corner been a bit too tempting? If so, you have probably developed an intolerance because of what you have been eating. As mentioned earlier, intolerances can come from overindulging, as your gut and internal parts of your body are damaged. Not to worry, there are many ways of managing your food intolerances, including an elimination diet.

Put simply, if you have an intolerance, it means the body is lacking the necessary digestive enzymes(s) for the certain food and therefore cannot digest the item properly or efficiently take the nutrients from it. It is a sensitivity resulting from over-consumption or overexposure.

2) How do you identify your Intolerances?

How can you identify your intolerances? With an intolerance test from Test Your Intolerance Canada of course.? Our tests can help pinpoint exactly what is causing your disruptive symptoms, and if you have been keeping a food diary to try and work out if you have been overindulging on certain foods, then you will know which item is the culprit. An intolerance test may show that you have developed a variety of intolerances, and we recommend that you do not cut all of these intolerances out at once. Similar to if you are reintroducing your foods, you should slowly eliminate foods which you are highlighted to be intolerant to, and you will slowly see your symptoms drift away and be banished.

3) Creating a happier and healthier you

Once you have taken an intolerance test with us, you will learn all about your sensitivities. This will mean you now know what to avoid and what not to. If your diet has caused you to develop an intolerance, then you have learnt that going forwards you need to be more careful about what you are eating.
